According to RSA 36:47:
It shall be the duty of a regional planning commission to prepare a comprehensive master plan for the development of the region within its jurisdiction, including the commission's recommendations, among other things.
Strafford Regional Planning Commission, along with the other nine regional planning commissions, was awarded funding through Nashua Regional Planning Commission's HUD Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant. This funding supported the update of Strafford's 2005 A Quality Improvement Plan (New Regional Master Plan Policies and Implementation Strategies for the Year 2020). The three years of funding was awarded in January 2012 and ends in January of 2015. The product of the funding will be nine regional master plans, and one comprehensive Statewide Snapshot for New Hampshire.
